Founded by Aaron Goldschmidt in 2004, Shine began as a simple concept: children’s enrichment classes with a creative, modern twist.
Along with a handful of educators he met while teaching in both San Francisco and New York, Goldschmidt’s team embarked on this new philosophy of early childhood education offering classes, parties, and events that proved successful – and out of the ordinary – from the start.
Seeing a need for flexibility and accessibility in children’s education, Shine went mobile in 2006, bringing innovative and enriched experiences into the homes, buildings, and lives of families all over the New York tri-state area.
With the launch of the Shine website and lifestyle blog in 2012, Shine’s creative vision and child-centered philosophies became available to a wider audience. In 2021, Shine opened its first process and creative arts space in Bridgehampton, NY. The Shine Studio serves as headquarters, creative hub, venue for events, classes, and camps, and a studio to film videos.
